I have a Bachelor's in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design from Ball State University, and continued my education through graduate coursework at Indiana University's Fiber Arts Department.
I have worked as an interior designer, a landscaper, as a manager in retail, and in hospitality. Throughout each of these experiences, I have kept design at the heart of my work.
I currently manage the By Hand Gallery in Bloomington, Indiana.
The techniques I use in my work span multiple types and styles of fiber art from feltwork, to needlecraft, weaving, and quilting. The consistent technique that is woven throughout my work is stitching through expressionistic embroidery.
